I think I've got it now - this is so good and I agree with Meera.
Hi liz.This was alternative to copying paintings,Now i sketch myself and paint from my own sketches if time doesnot permit on the spot painting.But as you rightly said sketches and drawing is the basis of any good painting.All great artists keep talking of importance of sketching.
