While i sketched and painted ,my office staff photographed the process.I was just experimenting with black and white sketching with a dash of colour. The size is bigger than normal sketchbook, and that was the challenge!..you can see the result.
i am putting some sketches in black and white(before),and same sketches with washes of watercolour(after).I was in rush to go to some programme and had no time for painting so did the colouring part at home. This is the first time i did that, but surely wont be a last time,as i can do more with this method..only problem is to find out time at home after sunday.
I visited mumbai on sunday, to see an exhibition at Jehangir art gallery. On way to the gallery i did sketches of some colonial structures.i am posting them here.
After a long gap of 2 weeks ,i got a chance to paint on this sunday.I sketched some and painted some spots in the pune university campus. Its a vast campus, with variety of manmade and natural beautispots. The season here in pune, india is at its best .Its right time to go out and do plein air. i have done some watercolour paintings .will post some later this week
i was trying to crop my images for collection of my signature, and some interestng compositions were seen .I sign my initials differently every time ,as a part of overall painting composition.I am posting some for you to see. They are not complete paintings ,but surely with some abstract values. i also use date or place to enhance the signature and painting.
there was a demonstration of how to make abstraction from nature,i.e landscape in abstract form.An artist did a painting and some of us tried to do on similarlines... i just didnot see the point as any landscape we draw is an absrtaction any way.posting something i painted afterwards.
I am interested in fine arts, which include calligraphy, watercolour paintings and sketching.I also do pottery, when time permits.I find a similarity in all these forms of art,in which i indulge.I love to communicate through my letters.i also believe that calligraphy should be way of life!
