bhutan visit
The monasteries in bhutan are mostly white washed structures with an red band running horizontaly, which is a lucky charm band as they call it.it was in a way easy to leave paperwhite as walls ,but showing tonal values in white was a challenge. The background also becomes equally important in white structures.I am posting some here.

Really beautiful sketches, you are so talented!
i am flattered carol!
Ramesh,i was there for 7 days.10 days including travel.
Great sketches, Sanjeev. You have captured the essence of the place so beautifully.
Oh my Sanjeev, what a pleasure going through your paintings and pics of Bhutan. It looks totally amazing and you certainly caught the essence of this Kingdom in the mountains.
How intimidating a subject to even attempt--and then to do it so well! Thanks for sharing your trip.
I never tire of looking at your work. The paintings are so refreshing and inviting, executed with obvious love.
I continue to be envious of your loose approach.
thank you all.I dont know any otherway of doing painting but fast and hence loose!!I sketched with brush so it looks more like a sketch and not paintings.thank you all for your input.
