village mulshi

On way to a trip, i stoppedby to see this scenic village and liked it very much for its rustic charm.

I have deleted cows and hens from the picture as i cant draw them!! I have not kept record of what has been posted,so may be this is a repeat for some!...I dont necessarily use actual true colours of scene, but in this case houses were painted in this shades.i think its local mud colour.

It's beautiful, as all your paintings are. Loose and free, filled with lovely colors. As to the cows and chickens, my instructor always said "they are just another shape". So true, and practice is all it takes. Thank you for all the nice support you have shown me in the past.

I agree with Carol -- all we really do is draw and paint shapes. And thinking like that helps me a lot! cows and chickens do complete a village scene from India :) Beautiful mud color variations in this painting!

Thanks ramesh and meera,
The lines in front are roughly made steps in mud and stone psyography.

Beautiful studies - I am going to enjoy following your blog. I'm Indian myself, though settled in England now, so it's lovely to 'visit' my homeland through your paintings.
Thankyou, Shaista
