ink sketches for study.




I do mostly ink sketches,as i always carry pen withme,it does not get smugged like pencil or charcoal!no need to sharpen every now and then.....


These are for study, hence i can see what i need to see in these sketches!!

hi liz,
yes i think that is the idea of a blog, where in one can express the thoughts behind any subject.Unfortunately i dont have a flair for writing as you have..but i am trying!! Its easier to paint than explain it!

The composition of the sketch with bell looks photographic! Watercoloured landscapes very rarely use such viewpoint. Do you agree?

Atul , i agree totally.See most of the artist work on landscape format,In photographic terms they use wide angle vision.Very few use 50 mm lense equivalent vision for painting.Any macro level ...i doubt..
The general principles of painting include drawing every thing in vision,but as an artist i have a choice to frame things, which i do!!
Our bird watching trip was lovely.Missed you. WE had 4 photographers with tripods etc!will post some results.
