I have tried a bit of black marker and atercolour combination.The black marker when washed with water gives a nice grey colour.I am otherwise purist, but this i am doing as sketches, so its ok!!...

Whatever the purist in you may think, this is absolutely terrific. The softness of the colour is remarkable.

The grey against the tan makes the painting vibrate - even with the light shades.
