Monsoon paintings.

It is crazy to do watercolours in monsoon,that too outdoors.But my sundays are incomplete without them,so i ventured out to do some paintings.the wet in wet effect is natural!,couldnot help it.

i rarely get a chance to sketch boats,as my place is not on coastal region.I have few sketched when i visited kolkota and murud.These are some of them.

These are done on my trip to coastal place in konkan.The boats are brought on sand for repairing and repainting.

Art fest

Due to monsoon rains nothing much is happening on painting scene.Tomorrow an art festival is starting

in one of the local art gallery.i am exhibiting 3 of my paintings.There are about 70 artists exhibiting various types of works.I am posting the three which i have sent to them.The festival will be for a week,with lectures,demos,workshops held everyday.I am looking forward to it.

this sunday, i forgot the painting pads at my office,so was left with some sketch books,which i carry in my bag.i ended up doing sketpainting or paintsketching!! Also met astudent from Goa,who came along with me with prior appointment and palnning on phone.had a wonderful morning.posting two of the paintings.

I have experimented with watercolour and sketchpen in this one.I did it last sunday.I sometimes sketch first with waterproof ink pen and pue washes or the reverse process.
