street sketches of wai

the sketches are done on a hot sunday afternoon in a sleepy town of wai.i am away for a week from tomorrow,so this is my last post before i come back from new sketches from Bhutan.

watercolour sketches

I was denied a permission to paint college of engineering ,as it is a heritage structure and i had no permission from archeological department!! so i have sketched it from sitting in a car on the road outside .The colour touch ups are done later.

sketches at tulshibaug.

tulshi baug is a busy shopping area with hawkers everywhere.The courtyard plan has ram temple in the middle and periferal small shops,selling brassware.Its a nice secure place to shop and also has religious touch to it.

tulshibaug ,temple complex

in the middle of my city pune,is this temple complex called tulshibaug.It has a courtyard planning,with shops all around and temples in the middle.A great place once you get inside the complex.Very vibrant and festive all the time of a year.These are my sunday sketches cum paintings.

12 noon

this was done in kolhapur at almost noon time,in a small bylane .The sun light on floor was interesting ! it was done real fast as i was in sun too!

one more painting of tower!!

I have done painting of this tower many times ,this is one more attempt!! A bit more colourful for my current colour scheme of limited colours..any way thought of sharing it with you all.

sunday -hot day!

It was very hot this sunday for painting.The tree canopy of university campus made the heat bearable! my sketches are showing the bright sunlight in white spaces left in paintings.Ther are NOT snow deposits on roof!

multimedia trial

I have tried a bit of black marker and atercolour combination.The black marker when washed with water gives a nice grey colour.I am otherwise purist, but this i am doing as sketches, so its ok!!...
