On every outing i like to do atleast one direct paint sketch, that is without a pencilsketch. It is done on sketch pad with smooth surface.I enjoy it more than a finished product!
Visted Mahuli, near satara, where temple complex is very interesting.Temples are situated on the banks of rivers krishna and Venna (sangam ghat). The river is just a stream and riverbed is exposed! This painting i did in landscape format.Somebody suggested that it can be cropped to make two portrait format paintings!! Am putting both ,thanks to software engineering.
This is a nameplate for an architect friend in mumbai .He got it engraved in marble from my calligraphic freehand artwork. The fees in form of a dinner whenever we meet is still pending!!
I dont know the difference between boat, and ship, any way it is nice to see coloured underparts, when it is resting on sand. The smell of terpentine is nostalgic of ship buiding.

adding one from a fishing village.all the boats are brought on beachsand for repairing and maintenaance. It creates a funny sight as if sand has replaced water!
putting here two contrasting paintings.one is urban streetscape, and second one is a waterfall in wild setting.I work only in watercolours for landscapes. No white and no black.I am Purist as of now !!!
This a dilapidated structure in Mahuli, place near satara in india.the light was stong and interesting to draw it fast as moving rapidly shadows posed a challenge.
I am interested in fine arts, which include calligraphy, watercolour paintings and sketching.I also do pottery, when time permits.I find a similarity in all these forms of art,in which i indulge.I love to communicate through my letters.i also believe that calligraphy should be way of life!
