Fort jadhav gadh..

Posting some sketches after a long time..Visited jadhav gadh fort last week,where i did some quick sketches.Its a n old fort converted into a heritage hotel property.Also visted a nearby temple of lord Shiva.enjoy the sketches..

some recent sketches done in pune, my home town..its a church built in bricks .i chose the red orange to show the impression of the church.I am slowly doing more of impressinist drawings..not much of detailing is seen in my sketches and paintings.

I am always trying newer materials of drawing.Last sunday i tried a metal calligraphic pen with black printing ink for sketching.Also the exact location is not copied ,but the essence is drawn.Its almost an abstraction of the real thing.Its a minimal sketch approch..its works fine for me as i am very short on patience..

some sketch paintings which i did this sunday ..The book the art of Urban sketching is an eye opener to me.I have come across so many different approaches and technics that i also felt like trying some more styles..The effort here is to do stylised sketching, rather than just merely copying the object infront of me..

Goa sketches..

Goa is a beach destination.its known for its beaches,fun,frolic and colourful buildings.The portugese ruled this state many years back.The effects of portugal are still seen in the goan villas and buildings.I was there for a conference,yet manged to sketch few structures during my morning walk..enjoy them!

college of agriculture..

College of agriculture main building is a colonial structure with arches and pediments.That makes it very difficult to render or paint the building.hence i selected a smaller annciliary structure this time to sketch paint..these are all sketches of a hostel building nearby...enjoy the week ahead..

anjarle visit
