trshund ganapati temple ,pune

I miseed my sunday outings for 3 weekends due to various reasons.I didnot missthis sunday morning and went to this temple which is 250 years old and is declaired as a heritage monument.It requires repairs badly.The actual temple is too difficult to paint,so i ahve done surrounding areas.

sketches ...and paintings...!!

I generally complete 8 to 10 sketches in about 3 hours of outdoor painting on sunday.Since i dont get much time from my busy schedule during the week,i try and draw as much as possible!! the necessity has become a habbit over the years and now it is called as style of my own by some of my friends!!..i take it with a pinch of salt! anyway here are few remaining from my last sunday collection.

painting or sketching

I am doing sketching with paints or painting with sketch effect.what ever it is i am enjoying it.I generally paint on pure watercolour painting and then go on to do sketching with use of pen and sketchpen alongwith water colours.i am posting both to show the difference.the first one is a painting.

rainy sunday.

it was a bit cloudy and raining intermittantly on this sunday.i managed few fast paintings,before i got wet!the effect is rainy too as wet on wet has no option in humid conditions.

I love arches,though they are difficult to draw,especially in perspectives.Last sundy, i did some paintings of a building with arches,they are more of sketches ,Any way i enjoyed doing them.
